On Tuesday 19th September 2017 members of the RFS Midlands Division will joined members of the Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire Division as guest of Baroness Jane Willoughby de Eresby at Grimsthorpe Castle Estate, near Bourne, Lincolnshire.
Since our last visit there in 2007, the Estate team have been hard at work and have compiled a very interesting programme for the day, which will run as follows:
09:30 |
10:00 |
12:30 |
13:30 |
15:30 |
There is good road access across the Estate; therefore, we will drive to the sites in as few vehicles as possible. In case of soft ground conditions, please bring stout footwear. A risk assessment will be available at registration, and the cap for the day will be £3 for members and £5 for each guest.
For biosecurity reasons please ensure that your car, boots and outdoor clothing come to site clean. Please also remove all mud and plant debris from clothing before leaving site. Disinfectant spray will be supplied, for applying to boots at the start and end of the day.
To confirm your attendance at the Grimsthorpe visit, please email liz.mcghee@lgluk.com. If there are any queries please do not hesitate to contact Rob Stockley on 01536 408840. We very much hope that you will be able to join us for this fascinating insight into one of the region’s pre-eminent woodland estates, and look forward to seeing you on the day.
