Landscape & Visual Impact Assessment
Client / Site: Pye Homes / Kidlington
This site was constrained by access due to being surrounded on three sides by existing properties. The single possible route into the site was through an adjacent field which fell within Green Belt Land. It was therefore important that the prescription for the access track which crossed the Green Belt did not impact upon the landscape.
After deliberation a scheme was derived which utilised reinforced turf sown with a seed mix comprising non-tussock forming and hard-wearing grass species that blended well with those present in the field. The Local Authority accepted the scheme, and planning permission was granted.
