We’re thrilled to announce that on 20th November we signed the Time to Change Employer Pledge, to end stigma and discrimination surrounding mental health.

Supported by mental health charities Mind and Rethink Mental Illness, we are proud to join a growing movement of employers who have made a commitment to increase understanding of mental health, raise awareness and cultivate a safe, non-judgemental environment for our staff.

John Lockhart comments:

We are delighted to be recognised for our proactive approach to mental health in the workplace.  Signing this Pledge with full support from all staff and Board members is a major milestone in the process of our continued commitment to reducing the stigma of mental health and providing an open, friendly and welcoming culture across the whole company.

This pledge marks our promise to take action, improve our knowledge and ensure that no one at Lockhart Garratt feels isolated or ashamed to seek the support they need. Through events, workshops, staff training and continued conversations over tea and coffee, we pledge to improve the way we all think and act about mental health at work.

1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem in any given year, but with the help of Time to Change and pledged campaigners, we all have a better chance of accessing support and asking for help without the fear of discrimination.  With pledged employer numbers rising to over 600, this campaign is growing quickly and we are very excited to be a part of it.
