Like any worthwhile organisation Lockhart Garratt has evolved over the years. Always keen to listen to our clients and stay in touch with industry and technology changes, we regularly introduce new ideas and services that don’t strictly fall within the main service areas that we offer.
The areas outlined below are both the result of feedback from clients who wanted assistance that we previously didn’t offer. The continual evolution of our services is always led by client demand.
Digital Mapping & Graphic Design
Our Cartographers provide the digital representation and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) analysis of map data in support of all of our company services, using ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Keyscape and Google Earth Pro.
We provide a graphic design service which covers interpretation signage and leaflets for public and private woodlands and community events, and public consultation documentation including Landscape Character Assessments and Outline Planning Applications, using Adobe Creative Suite.
If you have any questions about our digital mapping & graphic design services please contact Alison Barrett at [email protected].
Maintaining our position at the cutting edge of industry innovation and best practice, we can survey large areas of woodland or open space through the use of an Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS). Using photogrammetry software, we are able to provide three-dimensional models of sites which can assist in landscape design, development design or minerals surveying. Our in-house pilot has a Permission for Aerial Works issued by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to commercially operate the UAS, and is covered by a £5 million public liability insurance policy.
Aerial Surveying can be used across all our service centres, in Arboriculture, Ecology, Forestry, Landscape and Green Infrastructure, and Minerals and Waste. Our Digital Mapping and Graphic Design Team can prepare maps, plans and graphics using the images captured using still and film footage from the camera attached to the UAS.
Please contact Nick Bolton at [email protected] with any Aerial surveying questions.
