Lockhart Garratt office opening attracts local landowners and businesses.

The recent official opening of a new office in Chipping Norton by environmental planning and forestry consultancy Lockhart Garratt attracted over 70 people, including many businesses from the region.

The event took place at Chipping Norton Town Hall on 10th June and included an address by chairman John Lockhart who introduced the company, explaining the range of services it offered and charting the organisation?s growth over the past 18 years. He concluded by thanking staff for their hard work and commitment.

Guests were treated to drinks and canapes and had the opportunity to network with other local businesses and staff. Director Nick Bolton then introduced the Chipping Norton team who will be working with organisations across the area.

Lockhart Garratt work on a range of forestry and environmental planning projects, providing specialist technical advice on arboriculture, ecology, landscape assessment and design, forestry, woodland management and land restoration. With a head office in Northamptonshire, the company decided to open its second site in Oxfordshire due to the rural nature of the community and landscape, making it easier to work with clients across the southern Midlands, Cotswolds and Chilterns.

“We were delighted with the attendance at our official launch; both myself and the staff enjoyed meeting so many local landowners and businesses,” comments Nick who will have principal responsibility for the Chipping Norton office. “We are very excited about our operation in the area and look forward to maintaining and developing successful relationships with new and existing clients, whilst working on some fantastic local projects.”

Amongst the guests was Roger Coy of the Roger Coy Partnership Limited, a rurally based architectural design practice. Roger commented on the success of the event saying, “It was good to meet the Lockhart Garratt team, who are a credit to the company. We will certainly look to attend any upcoming events and I look forward to working together on projects in the future.”
