Mike Bentley took the individual honours and the Beacon Bowl Trophy at the Foresters Golf Society meeting held at Whiteleaf Golf Club, Buckinghamshire on Thursday 3rd October 2019.  On a dry but cool day Mike of UK Wood Exports Ltd had a winning score of 37 Stableford points.  In second place on 35 points was Chris Sparrow of the Duchy of Lancaster with John Lockhart of Lockhart Garratt third on 34 points.

Iwan Parry of Tilhill Forestry won the nearest pin competition with a fine tee shot.

The team event was won by Mike Bentley, David Shorthouse and David Duncan.

The Foresters Golf Society is open to anyone with a forestry interest – owners, managers, agents, contractors, timber merchants, surveyors, accountants etc. Next year’s events are scheduled for Wellingborough Golf Club, Northamptonshire on Thursday 21st May 2020 and Whiteleaf Golf Club on Thursday 1st October 2020.  The Whiteleaf day will be the 20th anniversary of the first Foresters Golf Day.  Anyone interested in playing should contact John Clegg – [email protected] or tel: 07702 977960.
