The event drew the largest attendance since its formation in 2014. Over 40 professional consultants, planners, architects and developers gathered at The Holt Hotel in Bicester to receive industry updates and listen to a presentation from Wyn Evans on ‘Effective communication to achieve planning results’.
Wyn is the founder of Forty Shillings and has twenty years’ experience of working in corporate communications within the property sector. His talk was well-received and gave attendees insight into the importance of a communication campaign in achieving planning goals.
“We were delighted that Wyn could present and give attendees a taste of his industry knowledge. There was plenty of good feedback with many commenting on how informative, interesting and entertaining the presentation was,” commented Victoria Sherbourne, organiser of the event and Marketing Coordinator at Lockhart Garratt.
Following on from the success of this breakfast meeting, Lockhart Garratt will be hosting two free ecology focused workshops later in the year.
“Experience from a number of recent projects has highlighted the mixed amount of understanding of ecological and environmental issues in the planning process,” comments John Lockhart, Chairman. “Our aim is to provide a wide-ranging technical ecological update and outline how issues should be best addressed through the planning process.”
To make the events valuable and productive, invitations are restricted to an invited audience of developers, housebuilders, planners, architects and project managers, with a limit of 24 delegates per workshop. The two workshops will take place in Market Harborough, Leicestershire on the 28 November and in Bicester, Oxfordshire on the 8 December.
