How to Choose the Best Arboriculture Services
When it comes to choosing a reputable arboriculture service, it’s important to select a company very carefully. The last thing you need is to hire a fake arboriculture service that delivers less than the expected results.
How do you choose the right arboriculture services company? What necessary steps can you take to avoid any scams?
Here’s some advice, based on Lockhart Garratt’s many years of expertise. These tips should point you in the right direction.
- Insurance Policies
Make sure each tree service provider has the appropriate:
- Workers’ compensation insurance
- Liability insurance
All insurance certificates should be sent to you by the arboricultural services’ insurance provider. If a company doesn’t have any insurance, you’ll be liable for any accident that may occur.
- Better Business Bureau
Make sure the arboriculture company is accredited by the Better Business Bureau. The BBB is a better indicator of a credible service even though they’re currently not a good indicator of a reputable service.
- Reputation
Do some research. What sort of reputation does the arboriculture service have with the community? A good tree service company should have many positive online reviews. Ensure the company’s a member of any reputable trade association, like:
- The International Society of Arboriculture
- Tree Care Industry Association.
- Cheap is Expensive
We all love a bargain. But if the company you choose is too cheap, it may be because:
- They don’t have proper insurance or certifications
- Lack enough experience
- Will fail to complete the full project
- Too Expensive?
If the price is too high, you can reject it. If it doesn’t resonate with the amount of work required to be done, it’s better to save your money than spending it on some service that’s not worth the price.
- Get Estimates from Different Companies
If the price is too high or too low, we recommend you get estimates from three different tree service companies. From these estimates, you should get an average of a normal price. Meet the company’s manager in person and ask questions about what’s involved.
