Three of our Arboricultural Consultants, Stephen Westmore, Rob Davidson and Shaun Phillips, undertook training at Kew Gardens to achieve their ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ).

The qualification comprises of two days on-site training covering all areas of best practice for tree risk management including:

  • Levels of Assessment;
  • Target Assessment;
  • Site Assessment;
  • Tree Biology and Mechanics;
  • Tree Inspection and Assessment;
  • Data Analysis and Risk Categorisation;
  • Mitigation; and
  • Reporting.

The final assessment is undertaken on a third day and includes both a written and practical field examination.

I am pleased to announce that Stephen, Rob and Shaun all passed with flying colours, each achieving over 90% on their final exam.
A TRAQ is valid for five years.
