On Tuesday 4th February 2020 the RFS Midlands Winter Lecture will once again be held a Brooke Weston Academy, Corby.
We shall be joined by John Leigh-Pemberton of the Torry Hill Estate in Kent. John manages the family estate woodland and orchards at Torry Hill, in addition to the company Torry Hill Chestnut Fencing. John is also Chair of the Trustees of the Future Trees Trust and chairs the Sweet Chestnut Research Group within this organisation.
John’s long-standing combined experience will make for an engaging and interesting evening, providing links between woodland management and the silviculture of chestnut coppice, sustainable produce, timber products and research into development of selected stock – all the of which is the personal experience of one man.
The proposed itinerary for the evening is as follows:
|17:30||The evening will commence with drinks and a hot meal, offering the chance to catch up with old friends and contacts, and to make new ones.|
|19:30||Presentation by John Leigh-Pemberton, followed by Q&A.|
|20:30||Tea, coffee and further socialising.|

We anticipate this event will be very popular so we strongly recommend booking early to secure one of the 50 places available. Places will be booked on a first come / first served basis and a reserve list will be maintained for those not initially successful.
