On the 6th July 2017 Lockhart Garratt Ltd will be hosting an event, in conjunction with The Agricultural Mortgage Corporation Plc and Robinson & Hall LLP, to provide farmers and landowners with a rural industry update.
This free event is aimed at Farmers and Rural Property Owners and will be held at the Holiday Inn Milton Keynes East M1, Jct.14, London Road, Newport Pagnell, MK16 OJA.

Mike Lord, Regional Agricultural Manager, Agricultural Mortgage Corporate Plc
Mike heads up the East Anglia region specialising in long term farm, estate and rural business finance; financing for a large range of purposes including land purchase, re-finance and capital projects such as new buildings, grain stores, reservoirs, diversification ideas and succession planning. Mike has specialised in agricultural finance for the last 10 years but also runs his own arable business.
Mike will be giving an update on the types of finance available, how to make your money/debt work most efficiently for your business, the benefits and risks of both long and short term finance, how to approach a lender and an update on your options regarding fixed and variable interest rates.
Justin Mumford, Managing Director & Chartered Forester, Lockhart Garratt Ltd
Justin specialises in woodland and forestry management, in particular planning for long-term management, woodland and departmental evaluation, budgeting and cash flow analysis, timber marketing, public liaison and pest and disease strategy development.
Justin will be providing an update on the latest opportunities in the timber markets, grants and how woodland owners need to be managing their woodlands in light of climate change and pest & disease.

Andrew deals with all aspects of Land Agency, in particular farm and estate management, Basic Payment Scheme, valuations and landlord and tenant law.
Andrew will be focusing on a range of topical subjects which will affect farm businesses, such as tenancy changes, Basic Payment Scheme and Countryside Stewardship and make sure you are all aware of what to look out for now and in the future.
